Please Remember Everything

Please Remember Everything
Actual Size Los Angeles

Featuring work from our very own Sean Boylan!
This was my excuse for not rocking out to OJO on Saturday.

draw

That OJO video is sweet!

Since I posted those big loose drawings, I thought I'd post a small version of where they originated, because it is really the exact opposite. I was doing this kinda crazy thing, projecting old silk screen transparencies of images which were bitmapped (so they had a dot pattern) and then tracing them. I did several small ones, then did a bigger one, which was the same size as those looser ink drawings below. The big one took a week. This is one of the smaller ones that prefigured the larger drawing, which took a couple days.

This is pencil on newsprint, and is about 18x24. (of interest to the family, ie the largest audience for this blog, the pencil I used is one I got from Grandma Miriam when I was at UCL and it apparently used to be our Grandfather's. No real significance to that in terms of the subject of the drawing, it just had the right kind of lead, but its a nifty thing.)

OJO LIVE

Friends of the dibbly family, OJO performing "La Bolsa Blanca" live this past Saturday.
I missed the intro and my dancing was getting a bit rowdier by the end, but good times!

lightworks: Part 7: CHI

I took these on the way home from installing at Noble and Superior - thought they were pretty fun.

plumes/poplars

Been a while since a post on here, but I needed the semester to start so I could get back in the swing of things. I finished a big drawing, but it is kind of impossible to take a picture of. However, you can see it in person starting this weekend at Noble and Superior Projects in the show Ron Artist MVP - I'd encourage following that link and reading about it, since it's going to be pretty funny, and the art looks good.

These were quick sumi ink drawings that then reminded me of Monet's poplars, which made me laugh.
