firework, ink on panel, 8”x10”
So I was thinking about representation, and I got into the idea of depicting fleeting, but ambiguous, moments. For this piece, I wanted it to physically seem like a heavy object like cast metal, but to depict a very light and momentary subject. The object itself is actually a lightweight panel, and made just using ink.
