lookin through

To continue the trend of posting photos of looking through things (well now its a trend as there are two) - the maintenance guy in my building has this amazingly thick Italian accent - I pretty much squint the whole time he is talking to me trying to figure out what he's saying - and the other day I could hear him going off on the phone in the hallway, and it sounded like he was right outside the door. We have a peephole, which I've never had before anywhere I've lived, and I took a look through, but he was about halfway down the hall which made me realize just how crazily sound carries in my building. Anyways, I messed about trying to take a picture through the peephole and this is what I got.

i made a mix. and liner notes. they would fit in a cd
case, except that i made the mix over two hours.
so, you know, you could make an mp3 cd or whatever.
(if the tracks don't import in the order i named them,
you can organize them by comments. i put the order
there too.)

oh, and i'll get some new work up here soonish.

EDIT: the liner notes totally won't fit in a cd case.
i'm a liar.

pew pew pew

I was thinking of calling this "Tunnel Vision," but then I was worried that might give away what it is that this is a photo of, and I kind of like the mixture of flatness and depth that is going on. Any thoughts?

Harrison Ford

I have been doing some youtube research to find videos for a film project that I am embarking upon. This is not going to be part of the project.. However, I think it is amazing. I've been getting pretty Sontag on it.

paper trail

This is - well, I suppose I'd call it a collaborative rotating installation piece between me and my roommate Emilie - but the "artful photo" credit would have to be all mine.

Catering to this crowd, I'm pretty sure you can all tell what it is.

Post 100 - Open Studios

Hey, its the 100th post of the year on dibbly. Today is November 7th, the 311th day of the year, so that's an average of 1 post every 3.1 days - not too shabby.

Anyways, yesterday was open studios here at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, which meant I had to clean up all the crap everywhere and look like I had my act together for a few hours. Here are a few shots of the set up - some of the work here isn't done yet, but when it is, I'll post up some proper stuff about it.

I'd have taken more, but my camera ran out of batteries. Such is life.
