I had a dream last night about a funky art installation. I happened upon it at the the intersection where I used to catch my school bus, in middle school. So there's an open-air structure, a sukkah if you will, with various cutlery and eating utensils dangling from the rafters. There are three people. I don't know if they were supposed to be there in real time and space, or if I observed a video of their actions. There was a red headed woman with rockabilly style, an older man of an indistinguishable age (40? 65?) with intense eyes and thick black eyebrows, wearing a head scarf almost to the effect of a nun's headdress, and lindsay lohan. Behind them, a sizable oven. I look away. I looked back and the man's body had been reduced to a pile of black ashes on a table. Lindsay was forlorn. She said "I love you," and swallowed a spoonful of his ashes from his neck. Then the redheaded nurse placed acquiescent Lindsay in to be toasted. She too tasted Lindsay's burned remains before herself being incinerated.

That's all I remember from the dream, but I thought you would appreciate it, since... you never know what those crazy installation artists will come up with, and I'm not sure if the dream was any stranger than some of the stuff I saw at the International. Good stuff. Also, the theme reminds me of a Dali painting, "Cannibalism." I dig the Alice video. And don't see the movie "I love you, Man." Word.
