phontos

Deinstalling a show in a museum can often be a very boring experience - and recently we've been presented with the gift of busy work, the most recent incarnation of which consisted of pulling up carpets in the film rooms. You all know the kind I'm talking about - the dark rooms that branch off from the main galleries with various video art inside. Anyways, so these rooms are all painted black, and usually don't have any lighting - so we had to pull up carpet with illumination from industrial worklights. Anyways, the effect of the grated lights on the black walls was cool, so I spent some time messing about adjusting angles and such, and taking some photos (only with the iPhone, unfortunately) and these are the results.
